Curvy - Anatomically shaped interdental wedges

Now also available in size XL

VOCO’s Curvy offers anatomically shaped plastic interdental wedges for use in filling therapy. The wedges possess either a clockwise or counterclockwise curvature. This curvature results in a significantly better ability of the wedges to adapt to the anatomy of the tooth compared to straight wedges. Curvy’s particular advantage over conventional wooden wedges lies in its simpler adaption within the interdental space and, above all, in taking into account the anatomical structures of the cervix in proximity of the marginal gingiva. Curvy can be used in connection with matrices of any type or material. Its curvature (”clockwise“ or ”counterclockwise“) and four different sizes of wedge (small, medium, large and extra large) enable the matrix to optimally adapt to the tooth. This applies in particular to the crucial cervical area whilst simultaneously providing separation for optimal shaping of the interproximal contact point. Curvy wedges are supplied in eight circular carriers, each containing 52 wedges of one type, which are very easy to detach. Different colouring makes for quick selection of the appropriate wedges. The wedges with clockwise curvature are orange in colour and those with counterclockwise curvature are blue, both shapes again shaded differently according to size. The new XL size means that VOCO now also offers interdental wedges that are particularly suited for pronounced approximal spaces and for the treatment of gapped teeth. Their wide shaft and adapted geometry allow the XL wedges to provide for optimal fit of the matrix, especially along the lower edge which requires particular attention, and thus prevent leakage of the restorative material into the interdental spaces.
