The new high performance LED polymerisation device from VOCO

The Celalux 2 is a high performance, light-curing device of the latest generation. It offers an especially high intensity of blue light. With an average light output of 1000 mW/cm2, the Celalux 2 is ideally suited for use on restorations with all composite materials, bonds and light-curing cements.  

Optimal calibration to the photo initiator

The Celalux 2 utilises highly efficient LED (Wavelengths of 420 to 490 nm) as the light source. These light-emitting diodes have a significantly narrower emissions spectrum than customary halogen lamps. The Celalux 2 is thus ideally calibrated to the absorption spectrum of the photo initiator of camphor-chinons contained in light-curing restoration and luting materials. This achieves outstanding polymerisation results with an extremely low heat output.  

Effective and safe

With its high battery performance, the Celalux 2 allows a minumum of 300 polymerisations,  20 seconds each. Excellent accessibility to all restorable areas is guaranteed with the adjustable light guide. By means of a 7.5 mm wide light guide, even cavities with large surfaces are completely illuminated to eliminate the need for multiple exposures. The Celalux 2 comes standard with an amber-coloured light guide. This has two advantages when curing composites in comparison to devices with white light guides: First, the staff is blinded less often. Second, the amber-coloured light guide delivers an ideal light output of 1000 mW/cm2 for composites with a simultaneously lower heat output. An optional white light guide can be ordered for the so-called "power bleaching", which has an output of 1500 mW/cm2 with the Celalux 2.

Design and functionality

Functionality and design have been perfectly united with the configuration of the Celalux 2. The hand piece is ergonomically shaped and constructed from anodised aluminum. With its rounded-off surface and extremely light weight of only 160 grams, the Celalux 2 feels good in the hand and provides excellent handling. The adherence and breeding of microorganisms on the hand piece are significantly impeded by lack of openings and recesses. In combination with disinfection that is quick and thorough, use of the Celalux 2 leads to safe, hygienic protection from contamination for the staff and patients.

Simple and convenient

The charging station for the Celalux 2 is designed so that the hand piece can be inserted without having to align it in any special way. This permits fast loading of the powerful lithium ion battery that does not display any annoying memory effect. Changing the batter is equally trouble-free. A wattmeter is integrated in the charging station, with which the light intensity of the light-curing device can be checked at any time. The hand piece and charging station correspond to the highest safety requirements and offer protection from the penetration of moisture. Celalux 2 – With certainty, the newest technology.
