The new NDT® syringe from VOCO

Hygienic and efficient use through non-dripping technology

Starting now, syringes that ooze, drip and leave strings and the accompanying waste of expensive material belong to the past.  VOCO has successfully developed a non-oozing, non-dripping syringe based on the innovative non-dripping technology (NDT®) especially for highly flowable materials. An elastic gasket seal in the syringe ensures that the syringe plunger and also the employed material autonomously retreat back into the syringe barrel after the material has been extruded. The extensive, manual retraction of the plunger, for which there is a risk of contaminating the remaining material in the syringe, is thus avoided here. The automatic reverse suction effect of the NDT® syringe is exactly measured, so that contaminating the remaining material in the syringe is excluded and oozing or dripping of the material from the syringe is prevented. The new NDT® syringe permits the products to be applied in exactly the desired amount without material waste. This means a procedure that is not only safe and clean, but also economical.

Test dentists are impressed with the new technology

The new NDT® syringe was extensively tested by numerous dentists over the past few months. All of the practitioners described the dosability and overall handling as exact and excellent. The runoff behaviour was likewise given a rating of excellent. Most dentists rate exactly this property as problematic for working with flow products.  Almost all test dentists could establish that there was not any runoff of the employed material (Grandio Flow) with the use of the NDT® syringe. Even more: The test dentists even stated that handling was improved by using the NDT® syringe. The following products are now available in the new NDT® syringes: Grandio Flow (flowable, universal, nano-hybrid restorative), Grandio Seal (light-curing, nano-hybrid fissure sealant) and Ionoseal (light-curing, ready-for-use, glass ionomer composite cement). The new NDT® syringe: hygienic, quick, precise and no waste of material.
