The coloured restorative (colour guide in original colours) sparks the interest of children and increases their willingness to cooperate by including them in the treatment process. The decision of what colour the filling should be provides little patients with an active part in the treatment and makes the visit to the dentist a stress-free experience that does not cause fear. The children thus develop a lasting interest in the condition and care of their teeth. The multi-coloured restorations are an effective motivational tool for oral hygiene at home. VOCO researchers developed Twinky Star on the basis of the proven compomer technology. These include a high filler content (77.8% w/w), low polymerisation shrinkage (2.0% volume), excellent adhesion and marginal adaption (adhesion to enamel and dentine 27.3 and 24.1 MPa respectively), high compressive strength (316 MPa), distinct transverse strength (116 MPa) and low abrasion (15 µm).
Moreover, Twinky Star is also distinguished by its excellent biocompatibility and contribution to the prevention of secondary caries with its supplemental fluoride release. With its stability and colour fastness, the Twinky Star fillings remain secure and last until exfoliation.

Simple application for a stress-free treatment

Especially with impatient little ones, the treatment is simplified with the direct and simple application of the restorative from the convenient caps in combination with Futurabond M from VOCO, the quickly applied, strong, self-etch adhesive. Twinky Star is also particularly user-friendly in other respects, since it is easily packed and shaped, thanks to its good consistency. The outstanding polishability of Twinky Star additionally simplifies the therapy.
